I am reflecting about the UNIV150 class. UNIV150 class was a great class that I have the most fun in. First of all, I get to learn a lot of new things, such as grammar rules. If it was not for this class, then my writing will not have improved. I always hated writing, and after this semester, I loved writing. Reason why is that I always received constant feedback about my writing skills and areas that I needed to improve on. For example, UNIV150 class taught the class how to properly use commas and semi-colons. I always improperly use semi-colons in my papers. In high school, I was taught that semi-colons are used to provide more information, which is true, but did not explain the proper usage of the semi-colon. At this point in the stage as of Deember 3, 2014 at 11:24 P.M., I feel like my writing is ten times better than before. In honesty, I do make mistakes, but that mistake can be fixed with help from another person’s eyes. This is where I go to the study hall. Study hall is very helpful because I can go there at a certain time and receive additional help. If the study hall does not give enough help, then I can always go to a trustworthy friend to help. This is where I lack back in the old days. I did not receive help, and I “thought” I was confident enough with my writing skills because in high school, I was given my paper with no comments and a perfect A. Perfect A for me means I am good to go. Thanks to the additional help and study hall, especially with UNIV150 class, I would not have improved my writing skills.
